AGRANI – Bengali Association of Greater Cincinnati

Get Direction

AGRANI is a non-profit organization run by the Bengali Community of Greater Cincinnati.

Through numerous cultural activities we try to project the rich cultural heritage and tradition of West Bengal, a state in eastern INDIA. Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore and Oscar winner Satyajit Ray were from West Bengal whose masterpieces are well regarded throughout the world. AGRANI as an organization provides the necessary platform to retain, practice and propagate our culture – especially in the field of performing arts to our future generations.

Throughout the year, we also welcome new Bengalis arriving in the Greater Cincinnati area to make them part of the larger Bengali Family.

Bengal is part of India so AGRANI Bengalis are very much part of the larger Indian community in the Greater Cincinnati area. They participate in multi-cultural activities organized by other India organizations. AGRANI has great ties with the Hindu Temple of Greater Cincinnati.
